Today I'm feeling obliged to make stuff.

| This is a microwavable smore maker |
We get given an array of makers as gifts.
To add to the stack we have waiting in the cupboards already which include pie maker, toastie maker, ice cream maker (still unopened in it's box from last year), popcorn maker, soda maker, waffle maker, coffee maker, tea maker, rice maker, chocolate mould maker.
Add from this year crepe maker
and bread maker (hooray actually looking forward to using this one)...
I feel like theses appliances are whining at me to use them. Oh hang on, no, that is infact my children hounding me to dig them out of the bursting cupboard, make them messy, make what they make just for the sake, clean them up and put them back in a space in the deep dark cupboard.
Seriously I feel like I'm being given MORE WORK in these supposed to be easy way of making thing gadgets.

Today Belle wants to make cupcakes.
I prepared for this yesterday after I had escaped to the mall on my own for 2 hours peace but was called by her as soon as I arrived if I would come home and bake with her.
I told her yes, as soon as she cleaned her bedroom, knowing this would buy me the rest of the afternoon.
It did.
So while I shopped I brought a packet cake mix because since I became a working Mother of 4 it's all I can handle in the brain function department.
If anyone ever buys me a cupcake maker I'll actually scream and may just throw it back at them
See I already have one of those, it's called a muffin tin and an oven.

We have the candy floss maker to match your snow cone maker.... But agree most just create washing.
I'm SO with you on this! I only use my food processor for making pesto or pastry!
And I hate cleaning our toastie maker. Arghhh.
It's the warst (my WV)
We have a penguin waffle maker that works with pancake mix and gets used almost every Sunday. Milkshake maker - infrequent, rice cooker several times a week, croc pot - enough to make it feasible, amazing juicer that sucks to clean so i barely use it..... I'd quite like a soda stream maker but it wouldn't get used often. So many of the makers are actually quite pointless because you can make them as you say with a tin and an oven.... Hope all is well in the widge-household x
Aaargh, my partner works in a retail store that sells these gadgets that supposedly make life in the kitchen easier (re, more cluttered), so whenever a new kind of something-maker comes out, he tries to tell me we need it. Like, the hotdog machine. He insists we need this. I ask, but what part of it melts the cheese into the hotdog? He replies 'cheese in a bottle'. Oh it's so wrong!!!
Can't live without the toastie maker & rice cooker though. :D
haha!
I still have a cookie dough maker from last year...still unused in the box. And my MIL bought Miss joy a cup cake maker. pointless!
But I do love a good appliance!
mmmm
in that case,
your Christmas package gets lost a sea!!!
Love and Light (lol)
Oh yeah I hear you here... I have a large array of these things in the deep dark recesses of my cupboard and don't ever know if they will see the light of day!
My mum is the gadget queen That said we have a good few, but use them often...rice maker, crock pot, sandwich press, popcorn maker (the best as no clean up) waffle maker, food processor...would actually like to try an ice cream maker if you want to regift... ;)
hope you are all good x
I know! My bench has no space so pulling all this out of my cupboard is a PAIN. We use the popcorn maker, but hardly touch the rice cooker or the juicer and every so often pull out the electric frypan. The breadmaker stays on the kitchen bench and gets used all the time. I truly don't see the point in the cupcake maker...only 6 at a time when there are great packet mixes and any oven would do 24?
Love this post. I too have an array. Apart from my cake mixer and food processor I actually use my pie maker quite a lot. Does make you wonder what the next 'maker' will be. Hope you had a good Christmas. Cx
I am jealous, drooling over your gadgets. I lost most of mine when we put our stuff in storage. Now we are in an apartment, so I tend to do without. But the other day, I bought a slow cooker.
